Abortion - the death of fetus

Abortion. . .The word abortion means the "intentional destruction of a fetus or. the inducing of a premature expulsion from the womb to cause death.". Abortion is a major issue in the world today. People in many countries. have abortions each year even if it is going against their religion.. A mother kills her baby because it is unwanted, yet she is not charged with murder. Is this right? its hard to believe to know that, this has happened more than twenty-million times in the past twenty years. The problem is that they have been killed legally because of abortion. Many people approve of abortion because they consider that a fetus is not an individual human until birth.

Abortion is wrong and it shouldn't be legal. If a doctor killed a baby one minute after it were born, they would be charged with murder. But if they were to kill a baby one minute before it were born, and a minute before that and so on, they would not be considered a murderer. At what minute can one consider life worthless and the next precious? Some people will say that abortion is not a matter of life and death, but medical research proves that the fetus is a living
organism. People also argue that a woman has the right to control her body and has the right to an abortion, but the fetus is a completely different life. Just because the unborn is dependent on the mother for nine months does not give anyone the right to end ---"it's life". Human fetus is a living individual. It should be remembered that a death occurs every time an abortion is performed--"the death of an unborn child". Child should not be punished for its parent's irresponsibility!

Similarly, even if the fetus has a right to life, it does not have a right to use the pregnant woman's body; and so aborting the fetus is permissible in at least some circumstances. However, it is to be noted that the woman's right to abortion does not include the right to directly insist upon the death of the child. Should the fetus happen to be viable?, that is, capable of surviving outside the womb.

However, if a woman has become pregnant as the result of rape. It is unfair to force mother to go through the trauma of pregnancy to have a child which will make her feel hurt as it will remind her of the rape. Even if a mothers life is at risk then she shouldn't have to go through with pregnancy because it would leave any other children motherless.

So to conclude I feel that abortion is completely immoral and in nearly all cases I think that it cannot be justified. But when the mother's life is a risk it should be allowed because the death of the mother would leave other children without a mother and this will mean that all their lives will be hugely affected.
